Shore Financial (Plymouth) Limited are raising money for Devon & Cornwall charity ‘Twelves Company’ in a bid to raise important funds for the good work they do.

On Friday February 26th, at the Life Centre in Plymouth, SFP employees Jon & Alison Treharne along with Shelley Fowell will attempt to ‘firewalk’ for 20 feet across coals at a temperature of 1200 degrees Fahrenheit.

Every year in the UK, one in four women, and one in six men, are the victims of sexual assault or rape. One in twenty of our children are victims of sexual abuse.

This kind of crime shatters people’s lives. As well as physical injuries, it causes mental and emotional damage that can affect every aspect of a victim’s life, for their whole life.

We have to do something about this. Twelves Company is a charity that supports adults and children in Devon & Cornwall coping with the trauma of sexual violence, and helps them to make a full physical, mental and emotional recovery. There’s such a demand for their services that they’re struggling to help everyone who comes forward. They urgently need our support.

Jon Treharne, Head of Advisory Services at Shore Financial Planning Plymouth, comments: “Twelves Company is a charity close to our hearts as Alison Treharne is chair of trustees, so we are fully aware of the great work they do and the invaluable services and support they offer to victims of these terrible crimes.”
